Dr. Carmody was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent the majority of her childhood soaking up the sun in Florida. Her academic journey was deeply rooted in the Sunshine State, where she earned her undergraduate degree, dental degree, and completed her pediatric dental residency—all at the University of Florida.

After more than two decades living within a twenty-mile radius—flat terrain, high humidity, and zero snowfall—Dr. Carmody and her husband, Andy, decided it was time for a change. Eager to raise their children in an environment that fostered a love for nature and community, they set their sights on a place full of snow, mountains, and adventure: Alaska.

As a mom of two, Dr. Carmody understands the joys and challenges of parenting, which helps her connect with families on a personal level. Her warm, approachable nature puts kids at ease, and she's dedicated to making each dental visit a positive experience.
